Q. I want to work at the Maze of Terror. How do I apply?
A. The Maze of Terror occasionally needs additional guides, spooks and staff members. If you’re interested in volunteering to be a part of our team, use the feedback form to send us a message or contact the field office.

Q. How scary is the Maze of Terror?
A. Scary for some is terrifying for others. It’s all a matter of what you can handle. However, we do have guests that have to exit the maze early and others that decide not to go in even after buying a ticket. Heck we’ve even had a few pass out on us (we have trained medical personnel on site). Don’t worry though, they were all ok and continued on. We like to think it’s pretty scary, we’ve been told by numerous people it’s far scarier than some of the local haunts. We try and improve every year.

Q. Can I bring my kids?
A. Sure bring them on. However, we must caution you first. The Maze of Terror isn’t recommended for anyone under 10 years old so if your kids are easily frightened it’s probably better if you leave them at home until they’re old enough to handle it. Our scare actors can adjust the intensity level if need be, but having a terrified child in a group may ruin the experience for other guests.

Q. Are you open if it rains?
A. Heavy rain CAN close the maze, however, misty rain does not. The best way to tell if we’re closed is to call the office at 704-791-6950 or check the frontpage of our website. REMEMBER!  If it’s been raining and we’re open… dress appropriately.

Q. Do you serve food?
A. We do have concessions available.

Q. Where do you park?
A. Parking is FREE on site and can handle several hundred cars.

Q. Does the Maze of Terror have security?
A. The Stanly County Sheriff’s office patrols the maze and surrounding area. The Maze of Terror has a zero tolerance policy for troublemakers. We want everyone to have a safe and fun time. Troublemakers will be ejected from the park without a refund.

Q. Will the monsters touch me?
A. No. The Maze of Terror trains it’s actors to scare you without touching you. However, as you will be compelled to run and scream with fear you may accidentally be touched by something or someone but our actors will never grab you.

Q. How long does it take to go through the maze?
A. You should plan on a couple of hours unless you get here early. As Halloween draws closer the lines will get longer so don’t wait until the last minute if you’re in a hurry. The maze itself generally takes more than 30 minutes to get through.

Q. Can I wear a costume into the maze?
A. No costumes are allowed in the maze unless they are first cleared by MOT staff. Ask your guide or when you buy your ticket if you’re unsure.

Q. Are weapons allowed in the maze?
A. NO! No weapons, No firearms, No mace, No knives, No weapons of any kind. No exceptions!

Q. Can I bring a camera?
A. No. If you’re a member of the media and wish to take footage inside the maze please check with the ticket counter first or contact the field office ahead of time.  If you have a camera on your phone, you are welcome to take pictures while waiting in line or when exiting the site, but no photos allowed once you enter the haunted event unless your Guide instructs you otherwise.

Q. Can I bring a flashlight?
A. No. Our Guides have flashlights in the event they are needed, otherwise you might see the spooks coming for you.

Q. Is it the same as last year?
A. No, every year a new maze is created. Some of the attractions may be the same but we also add new stuff and make others scarier.

Q. Is it as scary as last year?
A. Even more so this year. It’s darker and spookier than ever before. Heck it’s even spooky during the day.

Q. What time do people actually start going through the maze?
A. Tickets go on sale at 7:00pm. The maze actually opens at 7:30pm. Depending on the amount of daylight at opening and the number of guests waiting to go through you may be asked to wait a few minutes. The darker it is the scarier it is.

Q. Is there a discount for kids?
A. No. All tickets to the Maze of Terror are the same price regardless of age.

Q. Do you give group discounts?
A. Yes but only if you call ahead first. No group discounts will be given at the ticket counter.

Q. I’d like to get more information.  How can I do that?
A. Submit your inquiry using the feedback form on the feedback page or contact the field office.

Q. Do you have an ATM?
A. No we do not have an ATM at the Maze of Terror (we’re in a corn field, guys).

Q. Do you accept debit or credit cards?
A. Yes, we do take debit and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover) at the Maze of Terror.
